Ich bin nun schon 1 jahr alt laut meinem geburtstagskuchen.

So much happening and so little time to write, or in not so public version, too lazy to write.
Anyways Oma is visiting from Germany for 2 1/2 weeks to celebrate babys 1.birthday and to do much needed gardening in the flowergarden, which is big, she also brought along a heatwave just like last time she came, which makes gardening so much more intense shall we say.

gestern als nach langem regen die sonne rauskam, haben wir es endlich geschafft uns aufzuraffen und das kanu zum see zu manoevrieren, und wir sind erfolgreich auf dem see herumgeschiffert, bis es nach einer weile wieder an zu regnen fing.

babynahrung kann ganz schoen ermuedend sein

Die uroma aus der heimat hat diesen monat die bude auf den kopf gestellt, da baby jetzt schon fleissig umher krabbelt, gabs da kein halten mehr und die Uroma hat ihr workout pensum betraechtlich ueberschritten. Dafuer hab ich endlich mal was anderes machen koennen und mal wieder gruendlich aufgeraeumt und mehrere 100 Euros gefunden von denen ich garnix mehr wusste. Und dann hab ich noch ueber 100 fotos von babys ersten neun monaten in diverse fotoalben eingeklebt, das war zeitraubend. So ausserdem sind wir einen tag nach cranberry Lake gefahren und haben eine deutsche familie besucht, die hatten grad ihre 3 enkel aus Washington da, die ich hier kenne. Zu ostern hats geschneit und wir haben da nicht wirklich viel angestellt.

Dann sind wir als das wetter endlich schoener wurde nach albany gefahren zu ross schwester und haben da uebernachtet auf dem weg nach staten island, wo wir omas Cousine Anna besuchten. Der Weg dahin war gar nicht so einfach zu finden, die autobahnen sind einfach zu gross fuer mich und die schilder zu klein, so das ich mich mehrmals verfahren hab, baby fand das auch nicht so toll und fing ordentlich an zu schreien, was die ganze sache noch angespannter machte, im stau mussten wir dann auch noch stehn, ich hab schon ganz vergessen wie das ist, ich stand ja schon seit ueber einem jahr nicht mehr im stau. 2 tage spaeter gings dann weiter zu ross anderer schwester die mit ihrem mann in Astoria lebt, die finden baby j. ganz toll und koennen es kaum erwarten auch eins zu haben. Dort haben wir einen netten nachmittag im park verbracht, wo ich ordentlich ins schwitzen gekommen bin, denn es war schon sehr warm in der city, ich hatte schon fast vergessen wie sich das anfuehlt, baby hat auch ihren ersten sonnenbrand im gesicht bekommen, denn sonnenschutz hab ich natuerlich auch vergessen.

Danach gings wieder zurueck nach albany zur schwester und die mutter vom ross haben wir auch noch besucht, die kam grad aus dem krankenhaus zurueck von ihrer herz OP.

Die uroma hat Josefine auch ordentlich was beigebracht, sie kann jetzt schon winke winke und weiss das die hunde weder gezwickt, in die augen gepickt noch gebissen werden sollen, nur vergisst sie das mehrmals am tag. Kuchen und muffins sind nun ihre lieblingsspeise dank der uroma, vorher wusste sie nicht was das war und jetzt sagt sie immer namm namm, wenn sie muffins sieht, das kann ich leider nicht laenger unterstuetzen auf grund meiner regelmaessigen Zahnarztbesuche, die kein ende zu nehmen scheinen, muss baby mit den suessigkeiten warten bis sie selbst gruendlich ihre zaehne putzen kann. Mittagsschlaf ist nach wie vor eine seltenheit, da sie die ganze zeit umherkrabbeln muss, bleibt einfach keine zeit zum schlafen.

This month was fullfilling with entertainment of all kinds, because great grandma(uroma) from germany was here hanging out with baby J for one whole month. Baby just started crawling on time for uroma so she got the full workout in everyday. I got some stuff done that I wanted to do for the longest time and managed to clean almost the whole house including every closet, where I found several hundreds of Euros I did not know I still had, and that is a good reason to clean people. We went to cranberry lake one day to visit some german friends of mine, and took babys first somewhat big roadtrip all the way to NY city which is about 300 miles and 6 hours of driving from here. We did stop in Albany and stayed with Ross sister and Baby had lots of fun playing with her 2 cousins Uroma probably not so much since she does not speak any english.

We continued to Staten Island where uromas cousins live and stayed there for 2 nights, the drive to there was a nightmare I got lost several times, the highways down there are way to big for me and the signs to small. I am used to drive around in a small town now and haven't been in a trafficjam for over a year now, but i made up for it in Jersey. We contiued on saturday to visit with ross other sister and her husband in Astoria and had a nice afternoon in the park where I started sweating for the first time this year, I almost forgot about how hot waether felt like, and baby got her 1st sunburn, since I also forgot about sun screen.

During Uromas stay baby learned lots of new things like waving bye bye, introducing her to several new toys to play with which are actually not for playing therefore they are even more interessting to have, muffins and cake are her favorite foods now, before Uroma came she did not even know what that was , and now everytime she sees the object of desire she goes :nam,nam,namh, I want to eat it. I will not continue to suport that habit until she can brush her own teeth, since you all might be aware of my longlasting dental history. She also learned that the dogs are live animals and should not be bitten neither should their hair, tail and ears be pulled, eyes poked out, she just forgets once or twice a day. She likes watching ballgames on the sportsfield outside and cheers on all the players with loud screams of joy.

Naping is still only seen on rare occasions it is so hard for her to find time for that in the day since there is so much crawling to do.

Swinging outside is also a favorite activity and waving to the cars as they drive by.

And that is all I got for now i have to rescue some more plants and stuff from beeing torn apart by a baby on the go.

Oma made it sucessfully all the way from Germany, and she will stay for a whole month only to entertain me. Oma ist erfolgreich hier eingetroffen und wird mein persoenlicher unterhalter fuer den naechsten monat sein.

Candy also likes the bobby pillow, just her butt wont fit right.

Candy findet das stillkissen auch bequem.,nur ihr hinterteil passt nicht ganz.

9 monate alt, nach lachen ist mir nicht zu mute aber dafuer zeig ich euch meine 2 zaehne.

Finally winter seems to disappear slowly, and we already had several days of nice sunny spring weather, time to go outside and enjoy the playground, mainly the swing that is. Lets see if mom can make some more friends there, I wont give up hope yet.

Other great news is that grandma from germany is here until the end of april, yeah this can be good times for baby with oma and relaxing times without baby for mama. I finally will have time to go and get a haircut and go back to the dentist, I have not been there for over a month now;-).

But therefore I will go back twice this month. it is a neverending story.

Baby found also out how to crawl and nothing is safe anymore. I am not prepared for that yet, luckily grandma is protecting the baby and the house interior for now.

Baby also eats like a pro now, and I feel like I am locked up in the kitchen,cooking cooking and more cooking. Can there be more exciting news within one month, I wish there was, but no thats it for now, I will dig up more groundbreaking news as soon as I am done writeing this.

And the winner is ... Wiebke and Mike I thank you so much for beeing my first two offical blog followers, I knew I still have friends out there Woohoo for Wiebie and Mike.

Winter ade scheiden tut nicht weh, mein neuestes Kinderlied, ja davon sing ich in letzter zeit einige. Oma ist erfolgreich aus der Heimat eingetroffen und wird baby J. fuer einen monat lang tag ein tag aus unterhalten, damit ich eine wohlverdiente pause bekomme juhu, und mal zum friseur gehn kann und natuerlich auch wieder zum zahnarzt da war ich ja schon seit ueber einem monat nicht mehr, dafuer geh ich diesen monat gleich 2 mal. und ostern steht vor der tuer, und ich hab so viele schokoeier zum essen, herje, die situation mit den zaehnen scheint sich so schnell nicht zum guten zu wenden. Baby J. hat jetzt auch schon 2 zaehne und isst ordentlich , so das ich mit dem babybrei kochen kaum hinterher komme. Sie schaufelt permanent in sich rein, und trotzdem kommt nix raus, wenn sie aufm topf sitzt. Wir hatten nun auch schon einige schoene fruehlingstage so das wir erfolgreich den spielplatz in angriff nehmen konnten, schaukeln gefaellt baby J am liebsten, davon kann sie nicht genug bekommen. Ach ja und wie das mit dem krabbeln funzt hat sie jetzt auch rausbekommen und die hauseinrichtung ist die laengste zeit unbeschaedigt geblieben, zum glueck ist oma da um die elektronik und das baby for diversen verletzungen zu beschuetzen fuer die naechste zeit jedenfalls. Und besonders moecht ich auf Wiebie und Mike aufmerksam machen,die als erstes oeffentlich zugegeben haben follower meines blogs zu sein, ich wusste doch das ich da draussen noch freunde hab die mich nicht vergessen haben, ein lautes Jucheh fuer Wiebke und Mike hoffentlich sehn wir uns bald wieder.

Also das wichtigste zuerst letzten mittwoch am 25.2. wurde offiziell Babys 1. Zahn gesichtet und zwar mittig unten. und anscheinend hats gar nicht weh getan denn sie hat ueberhaupt nicht geweint oder anstalten gemacht, sie weiss halt das ihre mutter ihren schoenheitschlaf braucht.
Das bleibt auch hoffentlich weiter so. Heute schneits es mal wieder, die schneeflockenkonsitenz ist diesmal fluffig leicht und gross und federig. Glaubt ihrs mir jetzt das wir hier zu viel schnee haben oder was?
Die ewiglich andauernde wurzelbehandlung meines hinteren backenzahns oben ist nun auch endlich hinter mir, nun wart ich nur noch auf die krone inklusive einer heftigen Rechnung.
First things first, last wednesday February 25th we officially discovered baby J. first tooth, located on her lower jaw in the middle just like we expected. and there was no crying or fuzzing at all involved, she must know how important her mothers beautyrest is. We all hope it will stay that way for the next 20ish teeth to come. On another note, it is snowing again today, with big light fluffy snowflake consistensy incase you like to know.
The almost neverending rootcanal finally came to an end last week after a month or so, now I can not wait for my crown and the final big bill. The Ice castle is broken down now, yes we actually had a warm day or two. I forgot to take a picture of that but hopefully I will get to that before its gone.

ehe heute eine ueberraschende "hitzewelle"mit plusgraden die eisburg dahinschmilzt, bin ich gestern abend schnell noch losgeduest um die burg bei nacht in ihrer farbenpracht zu bestaunen.

und das obwohl ich am nachmittag beim zahnarzt mit einer wurzelbehandlung gequaelt wurde.

Bei eisigen -20C bin ich heute schnell zur eisburg hingeeilt bevor morgen offiziell der winterkarnival hier anfaengt, um fotos von dem eispalast zu machen, ohne massen von Schaulustigen mit drauf. Dank eisiger temperaturen ist der palast auch ordentlich was geworden, und zusammengebaut wurde das ganze mit hilfe von den gefangenen und deren gefaengniswaertern.

With temps in around zero F I quickly ran down to the icecastle today to take some pics before it will be run over with tourists starting tomorrow when wintercarnival officially begins.

Built with the help of the prisinors and their guards and some others it came out pretty good I must say.

und noch ne nahaufnahme, nee hab noch keine Zaehne. Ich hoer die zu bekommen soll mit schmerzen verbunden sein, und da steh ich eh nicht so drauf, da ess ich lieber noch ne weile babypuree.
and a close up, I still dont have any teeth yet and I am not in a rush of getting them either, I hear they can be painfull to get, and once you have them there will be a lot of brushing involved, and I am not so sure if I like that.

Also was gibts neues, es ist ende januar und wir haben ordentlich schnee und eisige temperaturen die uns vorm rausgehen erfolgreich abhalten. Wer laesst sich schon gerne die Nase abfrieren? Letzten Sonntag waren wir dann aber doch ausnahmsweise an der eisigen Luft und sind schneetubing gegangen, das war fetzig, und ich bin so ausser Form ich hab davon tatsaechlich muskelkater bekommen, unglaublich, na eigentlich wollten wir ja ski langlaufen, aber die hatten dubi r. schuhgroesse nicht mehr, und da mussten wir halt schweren herzens auf unsere sportlichen betaetigungen verzichten. Baby J hat derweile bei ner bekannten geschlafen, easy babysitting, gell.
It is the end of January and we have lots of snow and chilly temps up here, which are still keeping me from stepping outside successfully. But on sunday we went for it and stepped outside for some exercise, we planed on cross countryskieing, but they were out of dubi r's shoe size so we had to gave up that idea and went snowtubing. which was more fun anyway, and I am so out of shape I still got sore muscles, unbelivable. In the meantime Baby J was sleeping at a friends house which made for some easy babysitting.

und hier noch was neues: meine erste reitstunde auf Candy hund, brownie hat mich nicht lang ausgehalten.

nun mach schon candy renn endlich los, immer der nase nach.
yeah 6 months old, dad is slowly starting to feed me as well now, in the evenings with cereal.(which makes my poop paste like and stinkier then the dogs poop.mom is not to impressed with that change)they are haveing the false hope that feeding me that stuff before bedtime fills me up and I sleep all night, so wrong, I insist on fresh breastmilk at two and five am in the morning, it has the best flavor during that time.
schon 6 monate, der papa faengt jetzt auch langsam an mich zu fuettern und zwar am abend mit milchbrei, in der falschen hoffung das mich das satt genug macht und ich bis morgens durchschlafe, womit ich natuerlich nix zu tun haben will. ich bestehe auf meine naechtlichen imbisse gegen 2 uhr und um 5 uhr, da schmeckts einfach am besten. und wenn ich jetzt gross mach ist es auch schon mehr wie paste und es stinkt meiner mama zufolge schrecklicher als hundekacke.

schaut mal wieviel geschenke die oma gebracht hat. ihr ist noch nicht aufgefallen das wir in einem kleinen haus wohnen?
Soviel zum thema weihnachten, ich hab mich erfolgreich zurueckgehalten im geschenke kaufen, da wir ja eh nicht wirklich viel brauchen, aber das hat sich nicht weit herumgesprochen. Nun haeufen sich schon diverse sachen im keller fuer unseren ersten garagenverkauf an, d.h. da stellt man am wochenende wenn die sonne scheint all die sachen raus die man loshaben will und die leute ausm ort kommen vorbei und kaufen hoffentlich moeglichst alles.Dubie r. hab ich einen gutschein fuers rennrodeln geschenkt, das war auch gleich am 25.12. und er hat es heile ueberstanden.

So much for X mas this year, we had snow wohoo. I liked that part. I got dubie r. a luge run down the olymic bob run on xmas day, he survived it in one piece, after that we continued on to dubir.'s boss house for a big turkey dinner.After turker unstuffing and ourselves overstuffing we managed to squeeze back in the car, and drove home slowly.

All my wishes came true - all meine wuensche sind dieses Jahr in erfuellung gegangen;-)

na seid Ihr alle beeindruckt?ueber 200 geschenke fast alle untern baum, und keines ist mit dem gleichen papier eingepackt. ist kaum zu glauben aber wahr. Leider oder zum glueck nicht unser baum. ich gebs ja zu, dieses schmuckstueck gehoert in das wohnzimmer eines bekannten von dubie r.'s arbeit, wo wir zu einem weihnachts open haus eingeladen waren, dessen frau kauft das ganze jahr ueber weihnachtsgeschenke und faengt im november an diese dann einzupacken und macht auch die schleifen alle selber, das ist ihr hobby.

Are you impressed or what, yes I behaved very well this year as you can see, all those gifts!!! I wish, haha. this decorative treepresentation belongs to somebody dubi r. knows from work and they invited us to their christmas open house,(open house not open presents unfortunetly) there are over 200 gifts almost fitting under the tree, and not one gift is wraped in the same paper twice, on top the lady makes all the bowes herself too. she starts wraping in november and buys gifts all year round. Yes they have a big house to store them all. I checked it out myself.
